Khebat Moludi A Kurdish singer and musician, Khebat Moludi was born on July 1, 1976, in the village of Takantapeh in the Bukan county. From early childhood, he showed an innate musical talent and a piercing voice that immersed him in the vast sea of music. Initially, his only teachers were a tape recorder, a few old cassettes, his mother’s lullabies, and listening to them was his other source of inspiration. The first decade of his life coincided with war and its difficulties. The sorrow of those times became an ember that is now evident in his voice and works.
His love for Kurdish music and immersion in the sea of Kurdish maqams and oral literature, especially Mukriyan, drew him to the instrument Divan (baglama), and his genius and abundant talent, along with an academic view, began playing it under the tutelage of Master “Taher Mir Sidi”. From the beginning, he had a keen interest in collecting folkloric works and writing down their poetry, in which he consistently practiced and researched. So much so that his youth was accompanied by recording voices and melodies that have remained in his artistic archive forever. In this regard, his father, a skilled writer and a capable literary figure, was his encourager.
His presence along with his nascent group named “Zhinu”, which he led, at the fourth Kurdish Music Festival in Sanandaj, and achieving the first place in singing and impressing the audience, judges, and famous masters such as the late Master Hossein Yousef Zaman, Master Keykhosro Pournazeri, Master Sadigh Tarif, etc., became a turning point in his artistic life.
In 2001, at the fourth major festival of regional music of Iran, he achieved first place in singing across all regions of Iran, and also was recognized by the judges and masters as an emerging phenomenon in regional music. Consequently, in 2002, he was invited by the Regional Music Festival Committee of Iran to participate in the Fajr Music Festival in Tehran, performing with his group alongside the country’s music giants.
In that same year, he published his first album named “Gule”, which was very well received by the public. In 2007, he unveiled his second album titled “Hezhan”. In 2013, he released his third album “Warzi Doorie” which was unique in its musical form expression.
In recent years, he decided to immigrate and now resides in Vancouver, Canada with his wife “Tara Mukri” and their daughter Ava, where they spend their days…
